HDTV Ratings: August 10-13
Scrubs soaps Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice had the ratings sewn up on Monday, when their season premieres won their slots.
Grey’s averaged 12.8% – 16.6% of the key demographics, and Practice 8.0% – 12.9%.
However, the latter’s viewership slipped sharply over the 9.30 hour, allowing TV3′s HD premiere of Predators, which averaged 5.4% – 7.2%, to win the last half-hour in the 18-49 and 25-54 demos.
But even Practice’s strongest viewership — household shoppers — slumped from 16.5% at the start to 9% at the end.
TV One’s female-skewed crime shows averaged 4.2% – 6.9% for Unforgettable and 1.4% – 3.8% for Missing.
Sunday’s re-run of Rage averaged 2.7% – 6.0% while The Big Bang Theory crushed Modern Family but was challenged by The Zoo (which out-rated it among household shoppers).
On Saturday, Hyundai Country Calendar roughly averaged 2-3 times as many viewers as The ITM Fishing Show, and TV3′s CSI: New York/Miami double-bill continued to rate solidly, losing to TV2’s movies but beating TV One’s reality line-up.
But TV One’s Friday fortunes improved, with its back-to-back comedies rating better than the British whodunits that previously screened post-Coronation Street.
In TV One’s 24-54 target, they were only a couple of points behind The Voice and The Best of the Graham Norton Show.
